They say ignorance is bliss, so I guess it's why she looked so happy, and thought she was doing just fine.

From time to time, Kendra would get asked

"Why is a beautiful, young woman like you, single?"

Her typical response, either with a smile or a chuckle, was always the same.

"I don't know, God and time I guess."

Then she'd feel that pull she always felt that was hard to ignore. That tugged at her heart, and she would quietly ask..."God when?"

She has a vision she's been holding on to for years, of her being a wife in a healthy marriage and becoming a mother, raising her children in the environment she wished that she had growing up. She knew what she wanted but failed to believe she'd actually get it, that it would be her reality one day.

Maybe her boyfriend Kyle would make it her reality. She hopes. They've been together for a few months but the dynamic between them was emotionally overwhelming for her.

In her last relationship, she was too understanding, too accommodating, too honest and transparent, and it got to be too much and needless to say it didn't work out.

The confusion she's entangled in is if she's seen as a good woman, a good catch, wife material, why has she not met a man who wants to marry her? That question she gets always comes from a guy who is unavailable for one reason or another, so she questions the reality of her vision at times.

As she looks at her life presently and reflects on the past, it challenges her faith in the manifestation of that vision.

She met Kyle through a mutual friend, he was single, loved to read, shared some goals he had in mind. So, he looked like he was the man she's been looking for. He told her that he was looking for a serious relationship, he has two children with one woman, and that relationship was over 3 years ago.

But even though it's just a couple months in, Kyle has been giving mixed signals. On her way to meet her friend Tina for happy hour, she bumped into Marcus as he was coming out of the same door she was walking into.

He stopped look back at her going into the restaurant, then his friend Keith called out to him breaking his gaze.

****Parallel Lane******

Come back next week, to find out what Keith said to Marcus. I hope you enjoyed episode 1.
